Sharon’s areas of expertise include monetary policy and building macroeconomic models. She started her career at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand. Prior to joining ANZ in October 2010 she was a Senior Economist in the finance industry and has also worked in a central bank overseas.
Sharon has a Master of Commerce (Hons) from the University of Canterbury.
Agriculture Economist at ANZ
Susan became ANZ Bank’s Agriculture Economist in late 2018. She previously headed up NZX’s team of analysts providing leading intelligence on a range of agricultural sectors. She was involved in launching the dairy derivatives market, and developed a milk price calculator and a milk production predictor tool. Susan studied Agricultural Economics at Massey. She was raised on a dairy farm in Taranaki but now lives with her family on a sheep and beef farm in Martinborough.
