Kia Ora,
It has been a fruitful week with Prime Minister Christopher Luxon in Singapore, during which we had the opportunity to engage with many of our Chamber sponsors and partners across various events. This week was a great example of what we as a chamber set out to achieve- Connect our community, Promote New Zealand, its businesses and our amazing partners.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Tourism New Zealand for their unwavering support and tireless efforts in including our Chamber sponsors and esteemed members in their initiatives.
Regards, Tahsha Pratt

| New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon was in Singapore on an official visit from April 14 to 16.
In his first trip to Singapore as prime minister since taking office in November 2023, Mr Luxon received an official welcome at the Istana on April 15 and had a new orchid hybrid named in his honour.
“Prime Minister Luxon’s visit reaffirms the excellent and longstanding relations between Singapore and New Zealand, underpinned by the Enhanced Partnership established in 2019,” said MFA.
The partnership, which marks its fifth anniversary in 2024, is meant to pave the way for the countries to intensify collaboration in trade and economics; defence and security; science, technology and innovation; climate change and sustainability; and boost people-to-people links. |

Anzac Day Dawn Service 2024 |
|
|
HE Gabrielle Rush, New Zealand High Commissioner to Singapore and HE Allaster Cox, Australian High Commissioner to Singapore, along with the New Zealand and Australian Defence Forces, invite the public to join us for the Anzac Day Dawn Service at Kranji War Cemetery.
The service starts at 06:30h on Thursday 25 April 2024, however guests are encouraged to arrive before 06:15h. No registration is required. Limited seating will be available, and further information can be found here.
25 April 2024 marks the 109th Anzac Day, where New Zealand and Australia come together to remember the soldiers who fought in World War 1, at Gallipoli in Turkey. However, we now also remember the service and sacrifice of all personnel who have served in New Zealand and Australia’s interests, as well of the sacrifices made by their whānau/family.
In Singapore this event is commemorated at Kranji War Cemetery, which commemorates some 30,000 allied personnel from a range of countries, including New Zealand and Australia, who died in the defence of Singapore in World War 2. More information about Anzac Day can be found here. |
