Date: This Saturday, 22 June 2024 Time: 7pm Venue: Inspired Arts (11 Sam Leong Road #level 2 Singapore, 207903)
Welcome to the future, where two beings navigate a world dominated by AI. Amid driverless cars and sentient appliances, they explore love, hate, and the blurred lines between human and machine. Laugh, weep, and contemplate life, the universe, and artificial Intelligence in this timeless AI-Human love story.
Through Only Human, Conundrum Theatre’s Fringe Ensemble interrogates relationships between humans and AI and what will happen when, in the not-too-distant future, AI becomes sentient. It explores themes of control, technology, discrimination, love, and connection, and is performed by 12 actors ranging in age from 14-19, and spanning young people who are still at school, those who are at drama school, and those who are beginning to make their own work in Singapore.
Only Human was developed in Australia by young people from South Australian Youth Arts Company guided by Claire Glenn. The work is now being performed by young people from Singapore, and the different cultures and perspectives of every creative comes together to produce this unique show, written by playwright, Sophia Simmons, and directed by Claire Glenn (both award-winning female artists, who have worked extensively in the youth theatre space). |
