Kia Ora,
Can you believe it’s nearly October? You know what they say—time flies when you’re having fun, and that definitely rings true for me! Since I started as Executive Director in July, I’ve enjoyed meeting so many of you at events like the Invinciball and our recent AGM. The transition has been really positive, and I’m grateful for the warm welcome from our community. One of the most common questions I get is how am I finding my time at NZCC, and I can sincerely say great! It’s been wonderful to connect with our members and sponsors, and I’m excited to keep those conversations going. Please feel free to reach out with your thoughts or ideas—your input is essential to our success, and I look forward to getting to know each of you better!
A big thank you to everyone who joined us for the NZ Chamber 2024 Annual General Meeting. It was wonderful to connect with so many of you and reflect on our achievements over the past year. We’re excited about what 2024 - 2025 has in store!
We also had a fantastic turnout at our recent tax event! The sold-out session with St. James’s Place provided great insights into navigating the tax landscape in New Zealand and Australia. I’m sure everyone found the presentation helpful, and we hope to collaborate with St. James’s Place again soon—so keep an eye out for updates!
Mark your calendars on Tuesday, 29 October for an inspiring panel discussion on Women in Tech: Pioneering Innovation & Leadership in a Digital World. Our expert panelists will share their experiences and insights into the evolving role of women in technology. Registrations will open soon!
Finally, we are excited to extend an invite on behalf of the ASEAN New Zealand Business Council to this MEMBERS ONLY casual evening of networking on Friday, 4 October, from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at Pullman Singapore Orchard. So why not start your weekend off making new connections. More details can be found below.
Looking forward to connecting soon!
Warm regards, Melissa Holck
