Event Details

Join us for a meaningful afternoon of giving back and getting hands-on! The New Zealand Chamber of Commerce Singapore is proud to partner with The Food Bank Singapore to present "Hands to Heart: The Food Bank Singapore Experience".

This unique experience offers our members the chance to go behind the scenes at The Food Bank Singapore's warehouse and see first-hand the incredible work being done to fight food insecurity in our community.

The afternoon will include:

  • A Corporate Presentation: Learn about FBSG's mission, initiatives, and social impact.
  • Warehouse Tour: Explore how food donations are collected, sorted, and distributed to those in need.
  • Interactive Q&A: Engage directly with FBSG team members and ask the questions that matter.
  • Food Sorting & Packing: Get your hands involved in real-time volunteer work, helping to organise food donations for delivery.
  • Food Drive Participation: Each participant is encouraged to bring along a few non-perishable food items as part of our Chamber-led food drive.

Attire: Casual clothing with covered shoes (no skirts/dresses/heels/crocs/slippers/sandals).

What to Bring:

To support this initiative, we invite all participants to donate a few food items to help stock the warehouse. Suggested items include:

  • Non-perishable goods (e.g. canned vegetables, soups, baked beans, tuna)
  • Dry goods (e.g. rice, pasta, noodles, cereals)
  • Snacks (e.g. crackers, granola bars, nuts)
  • Beverages (e.g. juice boxes, UHT milk, bottled water)

Let's roll up our sleeves and work together to make a difference โ€“ one box, one can, one kind act at a time.

Spaces are limited โ€“ reserve your spot early!
