With the support of the New Zealand High Commission Singapore,
we are very pleased to announce the 4th speaker in the Beehive Briefings Series.
Join us as we welcome our guest speaker, the Hon. James Shaw - New Zealand Minister for Climate Change, Minister of Statistics and Associate Minister for Finance. We are very privileged to host Minister Shaw for an evening briefing at the New Zealand High Commission. The Minister will share his insights on the new Government's ambition for a net zero emissions New Zealand economy before taking the time to meet and mingle with guests.
New Zealand can lead the world in transitioning to a high-value, clean-tech, net zero economy that works for everyone. It's one of the many reasons James entered politics, and why he's extremely excited about being a Minister in the Labour-led Government. This Government will bring the large-scale, transformational change that is needed to build a truly sustainable economy, a diverse inclusive society, and to restore and replenish our natural world. James' priorities include the Zero Carbon Bill, establishing an independent Climate Change Commission, establishing a Green Investment Fund, and a joint Treasury-Statistics project to provide a comprehensive set of sustainable development and well-being indicators.
